This isn't just a small business, it's our home, and we're excited to share it with you. We want to create an unforgettable experience for our guests every time they visit.

Chef Melissa hails from Louisiana, where cooking isn't just a skill—it's a form of love. Raised in the kitchens of her mother, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers, she learned early on the art of creating dishes that warm the soul. Passed from hip-to-hip until she could stand on her own, cooking alongside her family, her first memories are of the kitchen. Bringing exceptional food to the table has always been her passion, and a place like Clean Slate Wine Bar has been her dream.

I have a background in assisting small wineries with their business operations. My aim was to showcase these hidden gems, the wines that are often overlooked, giving consumers a taste of something truly unique, beyond the mainstream offerings of big brands and wineries.

Chef Melissa’s menu is a celebration of local, seasonal, and delicious flavors. Her dishes constantly surprise and delight me, showcasing her talent and passion for creating memorable culinary experiences.

I make a point to carry small batch wines and craft beers. We rotate through them quickly, ensuring that our offerings are always fresh and exciting. With both our food and beverage menu, we’ve found a way to deliver a constantly changing guest experience while upholding a standard of excellence that we're proud of.

Clean Slate Wine Bar is a tribute to our love for the California Central Coast and the incredible farmers, fishermen, ranchers, winemakers, and brewers who make this region so special.
